It's been a while since updating on what we've been up to here at Rocket. Like everyone at
the moment, we're double busy helping others create their property projects!
We've agreed to take on another team member, so we're happy to welcome Olivia Summers to Rocket
This means Rocket's current offices are getting a little too cramped, so we've agreed to take on a larger space just around the corner from our current HQ.
Co-Living/ HMOs seem to be the buzz word in Darlington at the moment! As well as advising on quite a few potential schemes, we've been working on schemes for a 20-person & 6-8 person units within the town! I'm sure there's more to come here though...
After a little bit of a hiccup with the council's mapping systems, we've successfully argued that a dormer loft conversion is allowable under Permitted Development. Looking forward to seeing that one built.
We've been working with investor's scheme as far away as Scarborough, surveying a large development which will become a high cash flowing, multi-use asset for our client.
Planning has finally been granted on a large ground floor & loft extension scheme we've been helping a client with within a conservation area. It's also undergoing a full refurbishment, so likely £300k+ build cost project.
Another successful conservation area planning scheme has been granted on a modern addition to a lovely old stone building.
We've had the pleasure of helping the council prepare promotional images for the redevelopment of the train station area. Grant Hewitt did a fantastic job on these images, and has been invited to be interviewed by the software company whose rendering package we use to create the images!!!
The holiday let, cabin & glamping market seems to be going mad too! We've a few projects on our books helping clients in those areas, as well as a few things up our own sleeves...
And finally, we're getting lots of jobs to help design bespoke single homes, apartments and small-medium sized housing developments for local developers & investors.
There's never a dull moment in this job, which is why we love what we do.
